Where I Usually Park My Car

Luckily I had gone to hang out with Kara and Dylan and taken my car. Windy windy Vancouver. Seems a fair amount stormier this year than last. Trees down all over the place, bridges closed, traffic lights busted... Lotsa crashes and bangs throughout the night.

Projector Screen and my Desk

So, thats my desk/office area. I don't have a view, but that is good because I would likely space out if I did. I got my projector and screen that day. 100 inch diagonal screen. Picture is amazing. This started out so well. Amazing how quickly they can go downhill though.

Not a Pilot

I am not sure why people ask me if I am a pilot after looking at this picture, but I guess I do look a little like I could be about to jump out of a plane.

Skiing With Kara

Kara and I went to ski at Mt. Baker in Washington state. Very fun day, first real day of trying out the new Gotama's. Very fun skis. Great company, followed up the day watching the Vancouver Canucks beat the Colorado Avalanche at GM Place. Thanks Ken for the tickets.

Winter Wonderland in Vancouver?!?!?!?!?

Pardon me? Is that Central station in downtown Vancouver? Is that snow I see? How bizarre. If any of you are from snowy parts of the country, and have driven in Vancouver with the less experienced winter drivers, you may share my frustration.
I have a rear wheel drive Volvo with bald rear tires, I had to try really hard to get'er to break loose. And for you smartasses, she loves to go sideways on dry pavement, so none of those "well it is a Volvo" comments.

My New Bed

This is the second bed I have built, it is simular in it's simplicity to my first, but lower to the ground, no desk and a Queen size..... Now I actually can fit on the bed that I own.

Mine Tour

While up in Yellowknife I was given a tour of the decomissioned gold mine. I am too tall for mines. I don't like the cold and damp either. Or the fear of being trapped. Me never ever going to be a miner.

Hugh Keenleyside Dam

This is the real version of the model that I helped build and test. This it it in real life, in Castlegar. They took the results from testing and built the best option. Here it is.

Trout Lake

Had this pretty sweet job working in the Kootenay's, in the BC Interior. Pretty spectacular location. Beautiful scenery, and a fun job too.

Baker Creek Completed

This is the creek that we designed and built up in Yellowknife. Just waiting to start pushing water through it.

Beautiful Northwest Territories

On a small hike with Stephanie to see some neato waterfall.

Super Tired Out

Surf trip with Brad and Kara to Tofino, right after getting back from New Brunswick. I look pretty tuckered out there. Must have been paddling hard, or hardly paddling, not sure which one.

Friends on the Surf Trip

Matt, Nancy, Dale (my old roomate), Kara, Me and Kathleen. We all left Vancouver on the 6 am ferry to get to Tofino early enough on Friday to enjoy the day of surfing.

SURF'S UP!!!!!!!!!

My ready to get out into the water for another day of surfing during our company's surf trip to Tofino. Good food, good drinks, good surfing, good people led to great times. YeeeHAWWWW. A surfing cowboy always gets good laughs.

Volvo Pre-Westport, Wa

So here's a picture of Betsy prior to being sanded, rustpainted and foamed. Best car ever purchased for a case of beer. (Moosehead of course).

Stormy East Coast

Same weekend back home. We were in St. Andrews to relax, a fairly windy storm came in, and we decided to go for a nice walk on the beach. That's Oli on a rock, having fun trying to stay vertical.

Baby Claire and Her Two Arnold Uncles

The Arnold kids got to go home and meet the newest member in our familly. Uncle Dan, Uncle Oli, and Auntie Heather flew thousands of miles to see, what we all consider, the cutest baby ever. Oh and to see her mum and dad, who are also very cute but not as much as Claire.

New Aiyanish (Northern BC) and the Trip from HELL.

Was so happy to get back to civilization after this trip. Ask me about it if you want. But don't ask don't tell works well in this case.

Hike Up Blackcomb Mountain in Whistler

Andrew and I barely 1/4 up the Mountain. 3000 ft vertical climb in ski boots. 3.5 hrs to hike up 30 minutes to ski down. What was I thinking???
